WP-Housing is proud to be the Employer’s Agent for Platform on an ambitious 196-unit, 100% affordable housing scheme at Sphinx Drive, Coventry. This transformative project is set to deliver much-needed high-quality homes on a site that was previously an overgrown and disused golf course. By repurposing underutilized land, the development is not only addressing housing demand but also revitalizing the local environment and creating a thriving new community.
Our role at WP-Housing is comprehensive, ensuring seamless project delivery from inception to completion. We have provided Technical Due Diligence to support land acquisition, ensuring all planning, legal, and environmental factors were thoroughly assessed. Our pre-contract contractual and cost advice has helped shape a commercially viable and efficient procurement strategy, while our post-contract duties ensure smooth project progression, cost control, and quality assurance throughout construction.
The scheme is now on-site, with Vistry (Countryside) leading the build. A key feature of the project is its commitment to Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), enhancing efficiency, sustainability, and long-term performance. Timber frame construction ensures faster build times and lower embodied carbon, while air source heat pumps and photovoltaic (PV) panels contribute to lower energy costs and reduced environmental impact. These elements align with the latest standards in energy efficiency, delivering homes that are both affordable and future-proof.
